Hello and welcome back! Well, we have officially entered Wedding Season! As a planner, I talk to many brides about the “theme” or “look” of the wedding.
Every bride has a vision of what they want their wedding day to look like and of course, it is my job to ensure that it happens. I love working with creative brides who do not want the “cookie cutter” wedding look, and thankfully, with Pinterest and Etsy, brides have so many places to get inspiration from. One of the things I have noticed over the last couple of years is how personal couples want to make their day; which I love by the way.
One of the ways couples have incorporated their style is with the Guest Book. I don’t remember the last time I saw an actual “wedding guest book” at a wedding. When I got married, back in the day, every wedding seemed the same, and yes, we had the traditional guest book.

I thought I would share what couples I have worked with have done. I hope this helps with some ideas and inspirations…Enjoy!

One of my most recent weddings was held at a winery in Temecula, so the couple had guests sign this wine barrel. What a great way to incorporate the venue into your wedding. Loved this idea…
This couple wants to travel, so they had their guest sign this globe to see where in world they should go. Super cute idea…
This couple love the arts and incorporated some of it into their wedding. One way they did this was they had guest leave their “thumb” prints on a tree to create the leaves. They then framed it and hung it in their house. Great way to add art to your walls and remember your wedding day!
This couple had a similar idea, except it was a rustic theme so they had each guest sign a heart and drop it into the frame so they too could hang it in their home and remember the day forever.
My nephew and his wife had guest highlight their favorite Bible verse in a Bible at their wedding. They keep this Bible on their coffee table. What a great way to see what everyone’s favorite passages are.

Here are a few other ideas I came across…

I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas as you plan for your wedding. Remember, this your day, let it reflect who you are as a couple so don’t feel pressured to be so different that it no longer reflects you or your theme.
Oh, and if you want to go with the traditional Guest Book, go for it!
So tell me, what are some things you have seen at a wedding that you just loved? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear them.
